LEARN TO KITEBOARD IN ONE WEEKEND!     starts May 1st.

We have successfully developed a two day instructional course that can transform Beginner riders into confident kiteboarders. You'll learn more in 2 days than you ever thought possible. Our certified professional Instructors will help you develop the necessary kiteboarding skills on a personal level quickly, effectively and safely. To get the most out of this two day “Fast Track” program it is recommended that the student have some prior experience flying a trainer kite.

This is the ultimate instruction package for any Beginner to the sport who is serious about progressing as fast as possible. Sauble Beach is easily accessible from Toronto in under 3 hours so it makes sense to stay over night and make the most of your KITING EXPERIENCE.

Here's what you'll learn:

• Introduction to kites with a look at different types and sizes.
• Rigging up (inflation, connecting lines, harness and how it works).
• Launching (off the beach).
• Landing (on the beach).
• Basic Flight Theory, explanation of the power window.
• Marine Weather
• Personal Equipment (choosing the wetsuit, harness, & helmet).
• Body dragging downwind and gaining confidence in the water.
• Water start.
• Kite recovery from the water.
• Downwind sailing.
• Upwind return
• Introduction to jumping

When and where do we meet?

All Sauble Beach Kiteboarding Weekend Camps start at 10:00 am Saturday. We'll then take you to one of our teaching beaches depending on wind direction and work the entire day building your skills. Saturday evening is yours to enjoy on your own with friends or family. On Sunday we will spend the day extending your ride, practice transition turns and going upwind.

 Where to stay?

Sauble Beach and the nearby towns of Southampton, Wiarton, Owen Sound and Port Elgin offer a variety of accommodation options; from four star resorts, B & Bs. motels, cottage rentals to camping. For more information see www.saublebeach.com. Sauble Beach and the surrounding area is a busy vacation destination in the summer time so you need to book your accommodations as early as possible. We’ll be happy to provide you with a list of recommended places to stay upon request.

How do I book a spot?

If you're interested in attending our Weekend Kiteboarding Camp you need to reserve your spot ASAP. All you need to do is pick a weekend from the schedule below and call our office 705-326-9470 or beach 519-422-3962.  Spots at the Kite Camp are limited so the sooner you reserve the better chance you have of getting your preference. Student to Teacher ratio is 2 students to one instructor. We use the buddy system for both safety and the fastest learning method. So if you have a partner or friend who wants to learn as well...sign up together!
